8 Must have Chrome Extensions for SEO’s

Along with having access to some of the industry tools that allow you to audit sites and track performance effectively I rely heavily on some chrome extensions for my day to day analysis.

This is a list of the most useful extensions that I have come to use on a daily basis. Some are likely to be familiar to you, however hopefully there is one or two nuggets that will help you in the future also.


How to Fix Google Chromes Not Secure Warning

If you’re reading this you probably have a site you own or work on that is triggering a not secure warning in Google’s Chrome browser and you wan’t to get rid of it.

Chromes ‘Not Secure’ warnings can appear on a page for a number of reasons, but is most commonly down to linked resources that are not using the HTTPS protocol. Another common issue is that you have form fields embedded on your page that is used to gain personal or sensitive data.

Google originally announced the update in September 2016, and is intent on ensuring webmasters are careful with the way they handle sensitive data on their sites. (more…)

When I heard the news about a new auditing tool coming onto the SEO market in Sitebulb, I’ll be honest enough to say that I didn’t think I really needed one. I’ve been using Screaming Frog for what feels like forever, and I’m in love with the way DeepCrawl makes my life easy for regular weekly checks on my clients health.

Ever since Google announced that they would be updating Chrome to show warning messages in user’s browsers for insecure content, website and Magento store owners have been scrambling for a solution to ensure that their stores will not be affected by the change.

Initially set out for pages that contained forms with password and credit card fields, Google announced on their Chromium blog that this is now being expanded to input fields that are used on pages that are HTTP.
