Yesterday Twitter released a re-design to it’s profile pages for users. Along with the redesign came the ability for users to add customisable headers to their profiles much like the cover photo you find on popular social network Facebook. For Twitters official statement on the reasons why they have decided to make changes to the way users display their profile you can visit their blog post explaining the changes here: Because You Have More To Show
Example Twitter Headers
Currently there is a small percentage of early adopters for this new feature but as you can see below Twitter are showing already how customisable profile pages are set to become.
Custom Twitter Headers
Like a lot of people out there designing your own custom header might be slightly beyond your technical skills, some other early adopters have took the opportunity to register domains to enhance the future possibility of Twitter Headers. Keep an eye out for closely affiliated http://www.twitterheaders.net who promise to bring something to your screens pretty soon!
If you have your own Twitter Header that you would like to show off let me know, I’ll keep the post updated with all the latest content!
